Job Title: Psychotherapist

Pay: Commission

Number of Hours: Minimum of 7 hours per week up to 28 hours per week

Proactive Rehab is currently seeking a qualified and compassionate Psychotherapist to join our growing interdisciplinary team in Huntsville, Ontario. Proactive Rehab is a patient‑centered rehabilitation clinic dedicated to delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based care. Recently acquired by Martel + Mitchell Rehabilitation of North Bay, the clinic is known for its supportive team culture, strong mentorship philosophy, and commitment to helping clinicians grow and build rewarding careers in a positive and busy clinical environment. In this role, the Psychotherapist will work with clients presenting complex physical, cognitive, and mental health conditions, collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team to promote safety, recovery, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy services to clients experiencing a range of mental health, emotional, and psychosocial challenges
• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans
• Support clients with complex physical, cognitive, and mental health conditions, including those recovering from injury, illness, or trauma
• Utilize appropriate therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma‑informed care) based on client needs and scope of practice
• Support clients in building coping strategies, improving emotional regulation, and enhancing functional independence and quality of life
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory, organizational, and privacy standards

• Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines set by the relevant regulatory body

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible for registration as a Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
• Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Psychotherapy, Social Work, or a related field
• Strong clinical judgment with an evidence‑based, client‑centered approach
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• New and recent graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive mentorship and guidance
