A big part of our work culture at ProActive Rehab is supporting organizations in our community that align with our core values: being active, being inclusive, and living life proactively. Throughout the year we participate in fundraisers, sponsor sports teams, and volunteer for events that improve the lives of people throughout Muskoka. 

Here are a few of the organizations that we’re proud to support:

The Children’s Foundation of Muskoka

The Children’s Foundation provides grants to enable youth in Muskoka to participate in camps, sports, recreational programs, dance, music lessons, or to cover the costs of basic necessities. 

Every month we donate $2 from each new patient assessment and $2 from each Google review to support CFM’s efforts. 

In addition to our monthly contributions, on January 28, 2022 we’re participating in Muskoka’s Incredible Race. Our staff has been split into three teams, and we’ll be engaging in some friendly, Amazing Race-style outdoor competition. We’ve been fundraising throughout the month in the clinic, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Children’s Foundation. 

The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation

The Table operates a food bank, soup kitchen, community kitchen, exchange store and men’s hostel, and provides other important support services to the residents of Huntsville. 

Each holiday season we sponsor a family and collect food donations at the clinic, and our team participates in the Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk each February. 

Hospice Huntsville

Hospice Huntsville provides end-of-life support for individuals, their families and their caregivers. They have a residential hospice, Algonquin Grace, and also provide care at home and in health care settings.

Each spring our team raises funds and participates in the Hike for Hospice event, with all proceeds going to support this extremely important organization.

Huntsville Minor Hockey

Huntsville Minor Hockey provides hockey programming for local youth from as young as 6 years old.  

ProActive has sponsored a youth hockey team for the past 4 years, and in 2021/2022 we’re proud to sponsor one of the U18 teams.

Hoya Robotics Team

Huntsville High School's robotics team uses STEM skills to build a robot and brings it to competitions throughout the province. ProActive Rehab has provided financial support for the team for the 2021/2022 school year.

Races & Events

The ProActive team members participate in multiple local races as competitors, volunteers and sponsors. Our favourite events include the TriMuskokan triathlon, the Winter Indoor Tri, The Limberlost Challenge and the Terry Fox Run. Whether it’s challenging ourselves to compete, supporting the athletes by volunteering at aid stations, or raising funds for worthy causes, we love to get active with our community.
