The secret to our success at ProActive Rehab is our incredible staff, made up of physiotherapists, exercise therapists, RMTs, assistants and administrators. Our team members work closely together to provide our clients with comprehensive and personalized treatment options.
Physiotherapy is ProActive’s core service; it’s the one we started with 20 years ago and what we are most known for. ProActive’s physio team includes two registered physiotherapists, an exercise therapist, and three physiotherapist assistants (PTAs), who work together to provide instruction, supervision, education, support and encouragement.
“We are a highly experienced group of physios, assistants and rehab professionals who are passionate about helping you help yourself. We take an active approach, using exercise as medicine, and pride ourselves in being on the leading edge of evidence-based care,” says Leslie Tempest, clinic owner and physiotherapist.
Leslie Tempest is our lead physiotherapist and has been the owner of ProActive Rehab since 1999. She is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and has completed many post-graduate training courses including courses in biomechanics, manual therapy, McKenzie A-D, therapeutic exercise, concussion care, and the neuroscience approach to pain management, among others. Leslie’s goal as a physiotherapist is to empower her clients with evidenced-based tools and knowledge to help themselves overcome obstacles to recovery, reach their goals and live healthy, active lives. Her clients appreciate her knowledge and technical expertise, as well as her caring and supportive nature. Her goal as clinic owner is to provide a team, a space and an environment where each client receives individualized care and a comprehensive treatment plan focused on their goals. |
