Meet Our RMTs

At ProActive Rehab we pride ourselves on our amazing team and all of the different services we offer. With physiotherapists, exercise therapists, registered massage therapists and assistants all working closely together, we’re able to provide our clients with a variety of synergistic tools and treatment options to help with recovery and pain management.

Massage therapy is often an important part of our clients’ recovery programs. Our RMTs develop detailed treatment plans that provide structure and guidance and ensure that we’re always working towards our clients’ goals.

We have two registered massage therapists on our care team: Jaimee and Sarah.

Jaimee Clarkson is a graduate of Humber College’s Massage Therapy program and became an RMT in 2018. Since graduating she has taken courses in pelvic health and fitness and health promotion, and is currently studying lymphatic drainage.

Jaimee’s goals as an RMT are to provide a safe and comfortable environment for her clients, and to offer education and tools to promote recovery from injury or pain. As well as providing various styles of therapeutic massage, she spends time educating her clients about pain science, and listening to them to make sure that they feel heard and understood.

“I try to make things clear and understandable for my clients. They often come to see me because they don't know why they are in pain. They feel more confident after their appointments because they have a clear plan to get back to their normal activities.”

Did you know? Massage therapy is not only effective for treating injuries once they happen; it can also be preventative! With regular massage, you can prevent injuries and pain from recurring.

Sarah Tyler graduated with honours from Elmcrest College (now Bryant College) and became an RMT in 2008. Since then she has taken many continuing education courses, including advanced cervical techniques, myofascial techniques, acupressure, chronic/persistent pain, non-verbal communication and business.

Sarah began her massage career at a spa but quickly realized that she preferred a therapeutic setting. During her career she has worked alongside physiotherapists, chiropractors, social workers and exercise therapists.

Sarah’s goals as an RMT are to help people feel better, achieve their recovery goals, and develop their body awareness for better self care. She enjoys being responsive to her clients’ needs, and describes her massage style as a “happy marriage of therapeutic massage and soothing/relaxing massage.”

If you could benefit from a massage with Jaimee or Sarah, reach out to book an appointment! We have appointments available as early as 7:30 am and as late as 6:30 pm.
