Leslie Tempest

Leslie Tempest,
Physiotherapist, Owner/Operator
BScPT, CEO

Leslie Tempest, BScPT, is a registered physiotherapist with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy in 1992. She has practiced in a variety of fields and locations, including a 3 year stint in England. Her experience is varied but has primarily focused in an out-patient environment and in private practice since 1996. Over the years she has taken many post-graduate training courses and has developed an interest in biomechanics, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise/exercise as medicine and preventative education. More recently she is delving into understanding the science of pain and how that impacts treatment. She is also fully trained in the McKenzie method of mechanical diagnosis and therapy.

Leslie became the owner/operator of her own clinic in 1999 and, 22 years later, now operates as ProActive Rehab! As being a business owner is much different than being a clinical physiotherapist, Leslie has also given much of her time over the last 11 years to learning how to do this better. She is proud of her clinic and is confident you will love working with her great team as they work hard to get YOU back to living ProActively!

When Leslie is not engaged in the practice of physiotherapy or the development of her clinic, she is mother to two great kids, Kira and Will and pursues fitness through swimming, cycling, running (and yes, triathlons!) as well as family camping, skiing, & snowshoeing. She thanks Scott, her ever supportive husband, for all he does behind the scenes!
