ProActive Rehab has an immediate opening for a full-time Physiotherapist. New grads are welcome and will be supported through the residency process. What we offer

Competitive compensation package from $47/hr
Full time employment: 30–40 hrs/wk, a mix of in-person and virtual work
3 weeks annual leave + 1 additional week for every 5 years of service, up to 6 weeks

Expectations of the position

Valid license to practice with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
Provide assessment and treatment for any and all conditions that may present to the clinic within scope of practice and skill set of a physiotherapist.
Complete all written reports, including WSIB and MVA forms, to the standard and time frame established by the clinic.
Adhere to standards and regulations set out by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
Attend relevant postgraduate education courses to expand knowledge and skill set.
Request consultation with another physiotherapist when help or a second opinion may be required.

Successful completion of the written component of the CAPR Physiotherapy Competency Exam (PCE). We will support you through the Resident and credentialing process.

Complete all written reports, including WSIB and MVA forms, to the standard and time frame established by the clinic.

Physiotherapy Assistant

Position:

Informed by ProActive Rehab’s service values and collaborative team-based approach, the Physiotherapy Assistant plays a critical role in each client’s journey to a healthy and active lifestyle.

In this role, you will be assisting the supervising Physiotherapist(s) with treatment implementation and client care. You will engage in set-up and positioning, modality and treatment execution, education, fitting and adapting clients with prescribed equipment, instructing clients in exercises and use of equipment, completing paperwork and recording keeping among other tasks delegated to you.

Work is executed in clinic.

You are:

Legally entitled to work in Canada
Self-motivated, and excel at working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
Service oriented and committed to client-centered care
Passionate about helping people on their journey to wellness

You have:

College diploma / certificate in Physiotherapy Assistant or similar program
An interest in developing the skills of implementing intervention strategies, screening health status including screening for secondary conditions, case management, and utilizing a multi-disciplined approach
A minimum of one year experience of community, hospital or private practice is preferred but not necessary
Proficiency with completing written reports including WSIB and MVA forms is an asset
Exceptional communication skills (listening, verbal and non-verbal communication and in the written form)
